I've been working on a fun little math game called Witches Brew for my kids to play this Halloween season! For each ingredient of the Witches Brew, they roll 2 dice together, add the numbers, and write it down. Then, they transfer their sums for each ingredient into the Witches Brew recipe. I had my kiddies play this today and they LOVED it! They thought it was so funny/gross and a few of them said they were going to take the recipe home and tell their mom that she had to make it for dinner :) Haha, love it!

I'm late to the party, I bet your students loved talking about the brew for days! :-)

Saw this on pinterest and thought it was so cute. I had a thought to make it more exciting. You could have bowls of some kind of food/candy labeled with each ingredient (eyeballs, spider sweat, bat wings, etc) and then after students have completed paper, they get how many of each that their paper indicates and actually eat their snack.
ReplyDeleteeyeballs could be m&ms, spider sweat could be mini choc. chips, witch fingers could be pretzel sticks, drops of bat blood could be red hots, etc
I will be purchasing your packet. Thanks!
