I REALLY wish I could take credit for this idea.
But I can't.
One of my brilliant 1st grade team members suggested this. (I am on the BEST 1st grade team, by the way. They are A-MAZING!)
We typed up the book level traits for each Guided Reading level, then put them in a binder. This way we can set the binder up on the table, and flip to whichever group level we are working with. My hope is that this will help remind my students (and their teacher!) what goals they are working on while they are reading ...and hopefully this will also help me to be better at holding them accountable during Guided Reading.
